Presenting.. Extremely Rare French Bébé Antique Reproduction doll originally made by Emile-Louis Jumeau circa 1889 and marked 203. Very few of this happy faced doll were made as all were custom ordered in the 200 series of character faces.
Poured in "Magnolia white" porcelain and with many layers of China paint meticulously applied and firings in between each layer
The skin tone is very desirable pale and with eye shadow
She wears earrings and matching necklace of glass beads
This doll features finest solid glass French paperweight eyes in blue/grey color by Hand Glass Craft of England
Very fine and lustrous antique blonde Australian mohair wig with center bangs and soft curls

She is on a very finely made authentic Jumeau style reproduction composition body by Joyce's doll bodies.
She wears an exquisite ONE OF A KIND costume in pure silk taffetas... The genuine Antique lace ruffle and hand made Antique Dorset thread buttons as well as the very tiny Antique trim makes the tunic part of this costume exquisite and unique... the skirt features fancy pleats and a lovely bow ... The matching bonnet features double bows and Antique Velvet flowers. One of the most unusual and finest of costumes for a very special doll.
Underwear consists of 100% cotton bloomers and half slip, hand knitted silk/rayon socks and French style shoes with silk rosettes to match the outfit.
This doll stands 18 inches and 20.5 inches including the bonnet.
